Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central destroyer cutting through waves, with its bow extending beyond the edge of the wreath, topped by a Heer style German national clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a crimped hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, topped by a stabilizer, maker marked with the logo of Sohni, Heubach & Co.,
